No pictures yet.  Surgery went off as planned on Wed. afternoon.  We got there at 1:45, and they wheeled her in at 2:40. That's when my “fun” started.  The first hour wasn't so bad, went across the street got something to eat and mosyed around the little strip mall.  Amazing how interesting a Von's grocery store can be when your just “browsing”!  Then went back to the waiting room and read an entire Reader's Digest the second hour.  About that time the lady at the reception desk came over to say she was leaving, and that she had checked and they were about to the point to start closing the incision.  By this time it was well after 5.  Dr. finally came out about 5:45 and said they would come and get me when she started to wake up a bit more then showed me the pictures they had taken both orthospocically and digitally of the open incision and the “chunk” which they had taken out to clean.  Also had several shots of the “after” of the piece pined in place!  We finally got out of there around 6:30.  At that point she was still rather groggy and really very funny.  Doesn't remember most of it now!
We spent yesterday trying to keep her flat on her back as much as possible with her leg elevated “toes above nose”!  By 2:00 yesterday afternoon she was already complaining about being “BORRRRRRRED!”  Fortunately for me her friend Jess came over later and after feeding the two of them I was able to sneak out to the Chamber Mixer.
Have been getting the I'm boreds a bit today so I gave her a job, she is now taking her first bath with a bag over her bandages and her leg hanging over the edge of the tub!  Figure that should keep her busy for a bit and make her feel better when she's finished! 
Fortunately the Dr said “flat on her back with leg eleveated” for 48 hours, and by my calcuations that should end in about three more hours!!  Not that she's going to be doing anything a whole lot different but just knowing that she can should help.
She did say this afternoon that “there go my aspirations of being a track star!”  Sense of humor wasn't injured in the least!

I recently officiated a wedding for a Japanese bride and an American groom here in Central Florida. Orlando has always been an international destination with Walt Disney World and countless other attractions. This is a very unusual concept by Western standards.When I learned of the excessive expense and cultural pressure placed upon Japanese couples when they marry, I immediately thought to officiate Japanese wedding ceremonies. The most recent wedding I did between the Japanese bride and American groom was phenomenal. We used a Japanese translator, who did a lovely job. I emailed the translator the full ceremony and outline weeks beforehand so he could adequately prepare. The ceremony went beautifully and everybody was greatly blessed.Bringing different cultures together can be very refreshing and invigorating. America truly is the melting pot of the world and is most welcoming to people from everywhere. This is why we have so many outstanding international culinary dishes available to feast upon.
